The process of creating an icon
The process of creating an icon is a collaboration of various creative studios and masters of craftsmanship: the wooden icon board, individual frame, jewellery with precious gemstones decoration, placement of the piece in the interior.
The process of creating an icon
As a rule, linden wood is used for making icon boards. But, by individual order, it is possible to make from other wood, such as cedar or cypress. These boards are very durable and retain a surprisingly subtle scent for a long time.
All of the boards are glued with pavolok, to which the stucco is applied.
This is the work of a carpentry and levkas ateliers.
After the fresco is applied, the board is sent to the gilder. For gilding we use:
gold leaf Giusto Manetty 23.3/4 carat 1,25 gr.
The process of creating an icon
Only natural mineral pigments based on wax emulsion are used in painting the icon. Punic wax, which is part of the emulsion, keeps the colors unchanged for centuries.

Frame creation
Frames are selected, designed, produced and painted individually for each icon, as a part of art process.
A velvet mat and museum glass is used in decoration. Museum glass detains up to 84% of ultraviolet radiation (regular glass only 48%). Light transmission of museum glass is about 99%, while the conventional glass has a value of 91%. The specularity of non-glare glass is reduced to 1%, making it practically invisible to the eye.

Icons would fit most successfully in such an atmosphere.
Most modern interiors are minimalist and do not suggest paintings or icons. But in the most cosmic interior you can place one glass museum display case with the right lighting. Or you can make one single niche. And it will be an aesthetic and sacral space in the house. A kind of portal to another dimension. To Eternity. As in the film «Solaris» by Tarkovsky, memories would appear...the fog...the house...Rublev's «Trinity».
In any, the most progressive soul, there is always room for Eternal Values...at least for one Eternal Value
